Kelly is no stranger to the many stages of planning a wedding; she’s actually put on many a dream day for other couples as an event planner. So when it was time to step in front of the camera as a bride to be, turns out she’s a pro.
For Kelly and Alejandro’s engagement shoot, we headed west of Washington, DC to The Winery at La Grange. It’s tucked away in the country outside of the Manassas National Battlefield Park. The winery provided a variety of rustic backdrops to highlight the many genetic gifts bestowed upon this cute couple. Oh, and it provided accessibility to wine-so in many ways a great choice. I captured all my favorites photos right as the light flooded the fields with tawny hues and lent its summery touch to the vineyard leaves.
Then we exchanged sundresses and polos for a crisp evening wear and caught the final light over Georgetown. And take note: when you’ve got a golden-haired couple under a gold dome, you really see why the last hour of waning light is so aptly referred to as the “golden hour.”
