Nikki & Paul’s Wedding

August was filled with perfectly beautiful days and this day for Nikki & Paul’s wedding was certainly one of them! Over at the Woodlawn Plantation, under the sun and surrounded by their family and friends, Nikki and Paul shared their vows with each other. We started out the day with group portraits and a few photos of the couple before their lovely ceremony. After the ceremony there was a fabulous cocktail hour and a killer reception with the rock band Dr. Fu who kept the party going all night! So much fun was had and it is absolutely apparent in the photos!

Jess & Martin’s Engagement Session

Third time’s a charm! After having to re schedule due to torrential downpours and incredible thunder storms, we finally got an amazingly gorgeous day for Jess & Martin’s engagement session! We all met out in Leesburg, where the Bride is from, and had a lovely time snapping photos of the fun happy couple. We began at a nearby vineyard and as the sun sank slowly towards the horizon, we worked our way over through a beautiful landscape of rolling fields towards the Potomac. It is safe to say, the wait was worth it because the light was perfect! I had a really fabulous time and am sooo excited to work with them again and photograph their wedding next year!

Heather & Brian’s Berkshire Wedding

Swept away the song by the Avett Brothers, describes the fun, beauty and simpleness of this quaint Berkshire wedding. Heather and Bryan put together a fabulous weekend get away for all of their guests hosting their intimate wedding at a great little place in Lakeville CT called the Interlaken Inn. It was an earthy, southern feeling, wedding filled with lots of little personal details all combined to create an elegant, classy, organic style. The Bride and I went to Culinary school together a few years ago and when she booked me for her wedding I was ecstatic! I love her quite vintage style and couldn’t have been more impressed with the spectacular weekend she and Bryan created. Through out the day Bryan and Heather couldn’t stop smiling, it is easy to tell just how meant for each other they really are! I feel so blessed to have been able to photograph them and to have been there for such a special occasion. Everyone there had fun- as you can see with all the dancing pics at the end! Enjoy!

Sebastian, Gabrielle & Carolina

It was a beautiful monday morning when I had the pleasure of meeting with Carolina and her fabulous little kids Sebastian, whom I photographed about a year ago, and Gabrielle who’s about 8 month old. We had a nice time playing in their back yard and dressing little Gabby up in some adorable outfits. Though she was pretty sleepy, Gabby did a great job and we captured some fun photos of her laughing hard. It was truly awesome to see Sebastian a year after photographing him! He’s grown so much but has definitely kept is sweet little boy charm. Carolina was, as always so essential to making these photos- she’s so good at playing with the kids that it makes capturing fun candid moments so easy!

It was a mysteriously cloudy Colorado morning when I met up with my old friend and team mate Melissa and her darling little guy Liam. We took some fun family lifestyle photos and had a really fun time in the grassy Armstrong quad at Colorado College. I loved meeting Liam, after only a few minutes, he warmed right up to the camera and just enjoyed spending time playing with his mom.

Sally & Alex’s Colorado College Wedding

Wow! What a wedding it was! Sally & Alex hired me, a fellow Colorado College alum to come and photograph their wedding out in Colorado on and around the campus. We had a blast! After taking some getting ready photos, we jumped in the CC van and headed over to the Garden of the Gods for some fabulous fun and photo taking. Not long after we headed to CC for the ceremony which took place right outside of Shove Chapel and the reception which took place over in Bemis. It was a perfect day for this western wedding filled with heaps of fun, laughter and crazy dancing. Enjoy!
