KateHaus, started as Alpine Moon Photography by Katharine Hauschka in 2005, is a destination photography service based out of Washington DC, with Colorado and Massachusetts ties. I specialize in weddings, portraiture, events, nature and travel photography. I also work with photography in food, sports, modeling, fashion, architecture, archiving, multimedia slideshows and retouching. I'm a graduate of Boston University's Center for Digital Imaging and I have my work published in various books, magazines and educational displays.

This awesome, and I mean awesome, couple found me online and we’ve been a great fit from the start! They wanted to have some fun photos taken of them in the awesome holiday setting in Reston, VA. We walked around the wintery setting in the chilly evening, got some cocktails and even went ice skating....
These two came with a great sense of style and some wonderful ideas in mind. We walked around Georgetown on what turned out to be an absolutely stunning day and had a great ole time taking some very fun photos. The two were so happily in love that it wasn’t hard to get a bunch...
Rachel & Chris were quite a pleasure to work with and we had a great evening with just enough light to have a wonderful shoot! The clouds were really interesting and we also came across a cool brick alley so I tried to incorporate those aspects into the shoot enjoy!
The scenery and weather in Annapolis were prime for this engagement shoot, but the best part of the day were the subjects! Jenny and Scott were incredible models for me and it shows! Not only are they completely and utterly in love, but they are such a playful, fun and photogenic couple, it was difficult...
