It was a lovely, brisk fall morning in October when I met up with Jenny & Christopher for their engagement session. We had such a great time chit chatting, and walking around Leesburg for some fun photos with the fall colors and old town backdrop. They were so fun to work with, and super photogenic too! I couldn’t take a bad photo with these two I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next summer! I just know it’s going to be amazing! Enjoy!

I am so excited to work with Garrett and Lisa again for their wedding next fall! They have been so much fun to work with so far! We met a few weeks ago to capture some fun engagement photos around DC. We started at the Willard where they went on (if I remember correctly) their first date together, and worked our way over to the Eastern Market neighborhood. It was a gorgeous day and we had a wonderful time! Enjoy!!

We had a gorgeous day for their engagement session in Georgetown a couple weeks ago! We met at Baked and Wired- gotta love the sign (I did it all for the cookie!), and walked all around the waterfront area during a great sunset. Georgetown is such a dynamic place to photograph couples, you can get a little bit of everything as you’ll see. We had a wonderful time chatting it up and snapping photos. I loved getting to know them and am psyched to photograph their wedding in only a month!

One of the most perfect evenings I have ever spent in Boston was the evening of Park & Heather’s Engagement session. Man it was gorgeous! The light was absolutely perfect, the weather was warm, but not hot, and there wasn’t one cloud in the sky. After the hurricane hit New England, the weather became, dare I say, perfect?

Now I’ve know Park and Heather for most of my life so I was excited to get to see them, catch up and to photograph them (and am stoked to be photographing their wedding next summer too)! I met up with them in Beacon Hill as the sun was sinking down towards the horizon. We walked around the quaint brick buildings on the hill and worked our way down towards the Esplanade. I know this sounds silly, but in my 20 years of growing up around Boston, I had never been to that area…sad…I know. And I certainly regret not having gone until this session because it is spectacular! Especially as the sun sets with the sailboats on the Charles…it’s truly majestic, and an incredible place for some romantic engagement pics! Have a look and enjoy yourself!

It was one of those cool cloudy spring afternoons last Saturday when I met up with Sara and Joe up on Baltimore for their engagement session. But that didn’t stop us from having an awesome time! We meandered around Fells Point, stopping here and there for some fabulous photos! They were complete naturals in front of the camera, they were up for everything and always had a smile on their faces. Not only did we have a blast but I think they got a good work out in with all the fun jumping photos we took too! I can’t wait to work with them again for their wedding in October! While I was up in Boston I had the pleasure of photographing some very good friends of mine. Todd & I have been neighbors since I can remember and he, Jill and I went to high school together. It was a no brainer when they asked if I was willing to photograph their engagement session. We went to the Boston public gardens to get some fall colors and then meandered on over to Beacon Hill for some more old town like shots. It was a lot of fun and lucky for us, the weather cooperated!

You may recognize Yvonne from a previous modeling photo session this summer. She and her fiance Phillip met me down on the Mall and took some photos in the Smithsonian Gardens. Then we moved up to U st where Yvonne & Phillip changed outfits a couple times. There, we got some neat sort of grunge like photos around the old neighborhood with decorated walls and the like.  They were looking for something out of the norm. I think we achieved that. Very cool couple, not afraid to have a good time and to try different poses, even if it meant laying on the pavement in an alley. I’m definitely looking forward to photographing their wedding in 2011!

Brandon and Liza are good friends of mine and when he asked me to photograph his proposal to Liza, I just about cried out of excitement and happiness! After a bunch of planning, Brandon decided to have Georgetown Cupcakes create some special cupcakes to help him pop the question. He organized a fabulous pampering surprise filled day for Liza, and in the evening had her meet him at the back side of the Capitol building where he popped the question with the cupcakes. Of course, she said yes! We then had a fun engagement session splattered with lots of, excitement, happiness and many congratulations by passers by. They then finished their day off by going out to Liza’s favorite restaurant and finally to the W hotel where Brandon had champagne and roses waiting in the hotel room. I’m so happy for them and wish them so much love!

Erika & David met me in Old Town Alexandria for some fun engagement photos. We walked all around town choosing fun and interesting backdrops for different photos. They were a great, fun and laughter filled couple and were a ton of fun to work with. Old Town has a great array of scenes for any type of photography so we got a few nature shots, as well as some cool vintage like backdrops with the old row houses that are all over the town. Enjoy!

Third time’s a charm! After having to re schedule due to torrential downpours and incredible thunder storms, we finally got an amazingly gorgeous day for Jess & Martin’s engagement session! We all met out in Leesburg, where the Bride is from, and had a lovely time snapping photos of the fun happy couple. We began at a nearby vineyard and as the sun sank slowly towards the horizon, we worked our way over through a beautiful landscape of rolling fields towards the Potomac. It is safe to say, the wait was worth it because the light was perfect! I had a really fabulous time and am sooo excited to work with them again and photograph their wedding next year!
