You only turn Thirty once, and though for me it won’t be until February, I had the wonderful opportunity of hosting my friend’s Thirtieth at my place.  I ended up arriving home from a photo shoot in Boston thirty minutes prior to the shindig, and the party started with a bang! It included lots of dancing, drinks, and feasting on a roasted pig that the birthday girl had requested for her celebration. We brought out some fun party gigs for photos, as you will see below. It was all glitter and glam down in Old Town last night at the King St. Theater. All the beautiful women came out with their high high heels, beautiful jewelry and the latest runway fashions to see the Sex and the City 2 premier hosted by Victoria Gaither! I had the opportunity to photograph everyone for this private screening, and let me tell you, it was a blast! Below, you’ll see a few photos from the premier. It was a beautiful evening with some wonderful support for the Tigerlily Foundation’s second Diva Night Out & Fashion Show held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in DC! I had the opportunity to photography sweet Leny and her wonderful guests to celebrate her 30th birthday & graduation from grad school. It was a lovely engagement with delicious food and fabulous people!

Saturday was a gorgeous day for Ben’s Bar Mitzvah! The sun was shining, the spirits were high and the guests were all about celebrating! We rocked out on the dance floor for hours with short moments of pause to grab freshly spun cotton candy, drip hot fudge on unique ice cream sundaes, count jelly beans and release balloons….

The Center for Inspired Teaching held their Annual Chocolate Inspiration event at the Embassy of Mexico this year and I was lucky enough to photograph the delicious event! Have a look at some of the info for the event and be sure to make an appearance next year. Promise you won’t be disappointed and you definitely will enjoy eating chocolate while benefiting a fabulous cause!

The Greater Hispanic Chamber of Commerce hired me to come photograph their intimate event where they honored the Ambassador of Ecuador. The event was held at the DC convention center and had several South American Ambassadors as well as the Assistant Secretary of State for the Western Hemisphere. Have a look and tell me what you think!

The Garrigan Lyman Group partnered with TOMS shoes to hire me as their private photographer to document the Secretary of State’s Award for Corporate Excellence which happened this last wednesday, December 9th in the Benjamin Franklin Room at the Department of State. Because I wasn’t press, I had the opportunity to hang out with the award winners, ambassadors, and other high profile award attendees before and after the ceremony, and let me tell you, it was awesome!!!
The winners were chosen because of their philanthropic business practices in third world countries. For every one pair of TOMS shoes sold, winner Blake Mycoskie of TOMS shoes promises to send one pair of shoes to children in countries such as Argentina, Ethiopia, China etc.  John Stanton and Brad Horowitz of Trilogy International Partners worked with Wyclef Jean to bring free internet access to people in Haiti.  Below you will see a number of photos of the award winners with Secretary Hillary Clinton, Singer/Song writer Wyclef Jean, Under Secretary Robert Hormats  and Zac Hanson of the musical group Hanson (yes, mmmmm-bop).

This lovely family had me come photograph their little son’s first birthday party. The friends and food were awesome and the guest of honor, little Wes, was a hoot! Not only was this his first birthday party, but it was also his first time eating any type of cake/chocolate etc. He downed that cupcake like you wouldn’t believe…just stuffed it right in his little mouth, it was adorable! Enjoy!
