I have just recently gotten into doing Boudoir shoot sessions after a friend of mine decided she wanted to have some sexy photos of herself to give to her fiancee as a wedding present. It was then that I realized that Boudoir is something that a lot of people are secretly interested in… So I figured, why not? I had a few friends who were interested in having their photos taken, so I set up a date, a location, (a hotel room at the Tabard Inn with lots of character), a professional hair stylist, and a professional makeup artist. The girls came in, got their hair and makeup done, and each had an individual session while relaxing with some wine and cheese. They all brought special lingerie, underwear, or even football jerseys to wear for their session as well as some fun accessories like pearls and fancy high heels. We had such a great time and I am definitely looking forward to holding more sessions. Ladies, keep an eye out for one coming in January and sometime this spring! Of course, I am not going to show you everything, but here are some fun head shots. Had a wonderful time with the fam down in North Carolina this past christmas! Here are a couple photos I took of the sweetest family of four (I’m super biast…after all I’m related). Enjoy!

OH MY GOSH!!! This little guy is so cute all I wanted to do was cuddle with him during the whole shoot! He was just so happy and such a love I couldn’t take the camera off him! He smiled and man! He is wicked charming!! One of my favs is him playing with the drumsticks and the pot- how cute is he?! Enjoy!!!

I LOVE this family and I am so lucky to be able to photograph them! We last saw them back in August (See here) for a fun summer session. You can see the difference in just a few months- they are really growing up! Here we still played outside, and though it was a beautiful day, it was chilly! We had fun in the leaves, and playing around in the back yard. They all had a great time, but little Sebastian & Gaby had so much fun, they could barely keep their eyes open by the end, they were so tired! Enjoy!

It was a gorgeous morning when I met up with one of my favorite families to photograph! I worked with them a couple years ago (see post here) when they were only a family of 3. Now with a fourth member, they were even more fun to work with, and, if it could be possible, even more adorable! We took a little family walk through the woods out in Maryland, played with some leaves and captured the two little ones having a fabulous time together and with mom and dad. There’s nothing like good ole family fun- and the it certainly shows. Mom and Dad certainly got a good work out in, running around and entertaining their kids. All in all, it was a wonderful shoot! One of the most perfect evenings I have ever spent in Boston was the evening of Park & Heather’s Engagement session. Man it was gorgeous! The light was absolutely perfect, the weather was warm, but not hot, and there wasn’t one cloud in the sky. After the hurricane hit New England, the weather became, dare I say, perfect?

Now I’ve know Park and Heather for most of my life so I was excited to get to see them, catch up and to photograph them (and am stoked to be photographing their wedding next summer too)! I met up with them in Beacon Hill as the sun was sinking down towards the horizon. We walked around the quaint brick buildings on the hill and worked our way down towards the Esplanade. I know this sounds silly, but in my 20 years of growing up around Boston, I had never been to that area…sad…I know. And I certainly regret not having gone until this session because it is spectacular! Especially as the sun sets with the sailboats on the Charles…it’s truly majestic, and an incredible place for some romantic engagement pics! Have a look and enjoy yourself!

I make it up to Massachusetts maybe 4 times a year or so for work and this time happened to coincide with hurricane Irene. I had a shoot scheduled on the day she hit us up here and we didn’t let the weather or the loss of power in half the town stop us from getting some fun family and baby portraits (inside of course). Quinn was just the sweetest little model as she babbled her way through the session. We had her in and out of several different outfits, in and out of baskets, sitting next to giant teddy bears etc, and she was just so pleasant and curious through out the entire session. I’m sure I can speak for the family when I say we all had a great time observing little 5 month old Quinn as her expressions changed over the 1.5 hour shoot. You’ll see some fun one’s below. She is just a chubby bundle of joy and she passes it on through her expressions…you can’t help but smile when you look at her!

This was my first session with beautiful baby Mesa and her parents. We went to a park, set her up in some fun little settings, and I photographed while her mom and dad did their best to make this baby girl smile. She was so well tempered and just fun to photograph. It was great to see her interact with her parents…she is a nuzzler! Not only that but she was so fascinated by the grass as this was one of the first times she’d been so close to it that we had a tough time getting her to look up. Every time she looked up though, she had such a great expression…have a look!

It was most definitely the perfect morning for this family photo session with Carolina and her two darling kiddos Sebastian and Gaby. They are just so precious and I am so lucky to have the opportunity to photograph them a couple times a year! It’s amazing to see these little ones change so much in just 6 months! This time we played in the back yard and just had a grand ole time! Carolina is so gifted with making these kids laugh- you can just see the love and playfulness they share within their family. It’s a joy to be able to capture that and as you will see, the photos really do speak for themselves
