It was a beautiful monday morning when I had the pleasure of meeting with Carolina and her fabulous little kids Sebastian, whom I photographed about a year ago, and Gabrielle who’s about 8 month old. We had a nice time playing in their back yard and dressing little Gabby up in some adorable outfits. Though she was pretty sleepy, Gabby did a great job and we captured some fun photos of her laughing hard. It was truly awesome to see Sebastian a year after photographing him! He’s grown so much but has definitely kept is sweet little boy charm. Carolina was, as always so essential to making these photos- she’s so good at playing with the kids that it makes capturing fun candid moments so easy!

Sally & Alex’s Colorado College Wedding

Wow! What a wedding it was! Sally & Alex hired me, a fellow Colorado College alum to come and photograph their wedding out in Colorado on and around the campus. We had a blast! After taking some getting ready photos, we jumped in the CC van and headed over to the Garden of the Gods for some fabulous fun and photo taking. Not long after we headed to CC for the ceremony which took place right outside of Shove Chapel and the reception which took place over in Bemis. It was a perfect day for this western wedding filled with heaps of fun, laughter and crazy dancing. Enjoy!

Mia & Christopher’s Fabulous Wedding

The perfect day in August for a beautiful wedding at the Belmont Inn in Maryland, not too hot and just the right amount of sun, we couldn’t have asked for more! Mia and Christopher were a pleasure to work with and were just as excited to have their photos taken as I was to take them! After getting hair and make up done we took a few photos before rushing over to the lovely ceremony given by Mia’s father. As the sun sank behind the trees and the couple said their vows, their friends and family applauded the joyous occasion. We then took a bunch more photos and finally made our way to the dance floor for some fun, music and delicious food. Enjoy!

Elsa & Kevin’s California Wedding Sneak Peeks

I flew cross country from NYC to LA to photograph this awesome wedding out by Redondo beach. The weather was not the typical for Southern California it was more like San Fransisco…foggy and over cast until the late afternoon when the sun peeked out for just a few moments before setting. The wedding took place at the Salvation Army grounds high on a hillside that looks out over the stunning pacific ocean, (which we couldn’t really see until that sun came out, but just knowing it was there was pretty awesome). The bride and groom got themselves ready on the grounds, quickly taking care of any last minute details (including their vows) that needed to be finished before everything started. The ceremony went off with out a hitch and it was beautiful as Elsa & Kevin recited their love for each other in front of their closest family and friends. Shortly after being pronounced man and wife they had a receiving line and a fun laid back, intimate reception where great loving stories about the b & g were shared among the guests. There was sparkling cider for the toasts and instead of cake they served delicious mochi (ice cream wrapped in rice dough) with their initials on them for desert. The next morning, I met up with Elsa & Kevin to take some photos down by the ocean, and though the weather was equally as gloomy, the newlyweds were quite cheery and visibly excited to be together and married! I feel so lucky to have been a part of such an intimate family event on the other side of the country. Congratulations to Elsa & Kevin!

Christina & Jarrod’s Sneak Peeks

Christina & Jarrod’s wedding day is one for the books! Set at a beautiful country club in Gainsville VA, we had a wonderful day with a huge gathering of family and friends. There was a reported heat index of 105ºF so it wasn’t an easy day for anyone to take pictures outside! But we managed to snap a bunch of group shots after the ceremony outside and then inside in the lovely country club setting. Congrats to these two, it was truly a pleasure to work with them and their awesome family and friends!

Wilmington NC Wedding

I was flown on down to Wilmington NC to be the second photographer and work with my good friend Lisa Seaman of Story Lens Inc Photography who’s cousin is Brian, the Groom. We had an absolutely wonderful weekend! I got to catch some waves and soak up the sun on beautiful Wrightsville Beach, before the fabulous afternoon wedding began. Soon after lunch, Lisa and I grabbed our gear and caught up with the bride and groom in their preparations before the ceremony kicked off the celebration. Not only was Kate, the bride, stunning, but she and Brian were such a pleasure to work with! They were so welcoming to all their guests and on top of that, they have a great sense of humor (including Brian’s custom made tux shirt that had the Las Vegas print all over it- an inside Airforce Joke). With the way these two look at each other, one couldn’t help but take part in the excitement of their love and commitment to one another. Here are a few highlights from the big day!

The stunning Kristin Fisher and I met down at the national mall on perhaps the most beautiful evening of the summer on the longest day of the year for a great portrait session. Not only is she a natural in front of the camera but she’s got a great up-beat attitude and was a ton of fun to work with!
