Kristina & Patrick tied the knot at St. Mary’s Church in Old Town Alexandria on May 17th. It was an absolutely stunning day. We were blessed with a blue sky filled with soft billowy clouds filtering the sunlight so perfectly that each shot got my second shooter (Chantal Lavine) and me so excited. Not only was the light perfect, but so were our subjects.I photographed Kristina and Patrick last fall for their engagement session and we had an absolute blast, so I knew this day would be no different. Not only are they a super stylish and absolutely stunning couple, they are so fun to work with that every shot was golden!
After the beautiful Catholic ceremony, we jumped over to the Jefferson Memorial where we were greeted by a load of tourists who cheered the couple and their bridal party as they walked up the stairs for some great photos. At one point I’m pretty sure I had a mob of tourists taking photos of me taking photos of the gorgeous bridal group. We managed to capture some fantastic shots there at the Jefferson and then made our way up to meet the couple’s family and friends at the regal Congressional Country Club where we took a few more amazing sunset shots and joined in on the reception.
All in all, this was an absolutely amazing day, both for the couple, and for me as a photographer. I’m so lucky to have photographed Kristina & Patrick during this celebratory time in their life and so excited for them to start their journey together as a married couple!! Congratulations to Kristina & Patrick!!
