Harbour Island Wedding, The Bahamas

As most of you know, I love travel, and I love shooting while traveling. Last month I had the pleasure ding both when I flew down to the Bahamas to work with the amazingly wonderful Nassau Based photographer Sabrina Lightbourn. We teamed up to photograph a beautiful couple and big wedding out on Harbour Island on a hot but breezy day with perfect light that allowed us to capture some gorgeous moments!

There’s something so dreamy about shooting in the Bahamas…the light has a romantic haze and the colors are out of this world, it’s almost like you’re in another world! We got some amazing images as the sun set turning the clouds a vibrant peachy glow….one simply can’t get enough of the sunsets down there! Here are a few of my favorites from the day:

Ryan & Chesney Tie the Knot

It was partly cloudy and tropically warm with passing rain showers on Edisto Island outside of Charleston, South Carolina on Ryan & Chesney’s southern wedding day. But not a drop of rain could have stopped these two love birds from being ridiculously overjoyed for this special weekend in their lives! The stylish couple got ready at adjoining properties with their respective families and attendants before sharing their vows among family and friends under a beautiful live oak tree on the wedding grounds. As they shared their vows, the sun peaked out from behind the clouds lighting them up as though they were being blessed by the heavens. Not soon after, they had their first kiss, and it was time for all the group portraits and couples shots. We then grabbed a golf cart and took Ryan and Chesney over to the neighbor’s majestic mossy oak trees and extensive dock that reached out over the marsh fields to snap some romantic shots.  The reception followed and went off with out a hitch! From the gorgeous decor (by the amazing Stacy Fraunfelter of RLE Event planning & Creative Design) , to the spectacular food (the shrimp and grits were my favorite!) to the live band and rice shower send off there was not a dull moment. It was truly a pleasure to have the opportunity to photograph this very in love couple who just exude happiness for each other and all their loved ones! Congratulations Ryan & Chesney!!
